Tuesday, April 13, 4:30-8:00 PM
St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 535 W. State St., WL
The Children's Museum of Indianapolis will present an interactive program, Anne Frank: Facing Hatred, Daring to Dream for upper elementary through high school teachers on April 13, 2010, from 4:30-8:00 at St. Thomas Aquinas Church on the Purdue University campus.
The Children's Museum of Indianapolis is home to a permanent exhibit on Anne Frank. The Power of Children: Making a Difference focuses on the life of Anne Frank, along with Ruby Bridges and Ryan White, and the power that children have to make a difference even while dealing with extraordinary circumstances. Anne Frank was one story among many during the Holocaust. Learn how the museum has created an exhibit to tell Anne's story and discover other stories of the Holocaust. This workshop will explore the Anne Frank: Facing Hatred, Daring to Dream unit of study and will allow participants to experience Anne's story, along with others from the Holocaust, through a multi-media presentation and hands-on activities.
